About Australian Local Government Training (ALGT)

 

Who we are

Australian Local Government Training (ALGT) provides the local government sector with a range of consulting services that support the professional development needs of the local government workforce.

 

Our History

ALGT was the trading arm of National Training Australia (NTA) who were the Industry Training Advisory Board (National ITAB) for the local government sector until new advisory arrangements were introduced in 2005.  At that time, the National ITABs were replaced by 11 Industry Skill Councils (ISCs).

The vocational education and training needs of the Australian local government sector are now provided by Government Skills Australia (GSA).
